First, I don’t own an awning of any kind, damaged or otherwise. I purchased this tape for a small indoor greenhouse. It consists of heavy plastic covering with a metal rod frame. Over time the plastic “wall” separated from the zipper, allowing warm humid air to escape. Regular tape was useless and a nw cover, in the size I needed, was unavailable. I saw this tape and purchased it. It is exactly what was needed. It has amazing adhesive. Amazing! I repaired the plastic sheeting and my humid-loving plants (ferns, orchids, Red Dragon fly trap) are enjoying a stable friendly environment. I had difficulty cutting this tape but that may not be the case for everyone. I Highly recommend this product.
